Ah good ole Saint Stephens Green, never lets you down for an image or two. This is a shot looking over the lake in the park. Pretty non eventful but I have had a major catastrope at home, My monitor has broke down Something from what I can gather to do with the Backlight and Inverter. Think I know what thats all about well I dont but one thing I do know is, it is still under warranty so I should be able to get a replacement or repair soon, but in the meantime my pictures will be slow to refresh. I may be able to get them up from work but that also depends on how busy I am.

This does not happen a lot so I took full advantage of it. This is the upstairs of a Dublin Bus, the 145 to be exact on my way home from work. It takes me about 1 hour 20 mins to get home and since I live so far out the bus is normally quite quiet, but to find no one upstairs with me is weird. Anyhow even if people dont like this shot Im glad to have captured it.

The last of the green leaves are around us now, these did not even get a proper chance to grow.

Yes autumn has really and truely arrived in Ireland the days are a lot shorter, the nights are colder and there is a gemeral chill in the air.

I sense a lot of night shooting will be happening.

The Box, Irelands first Big Brother type reality show on TV3. Contestants aim to get into the box and work together to complete challenges during the day, and for each one, they win money based on how they did. Then on a live show at 10pm they go head to head and compete to win the money accumulated thoughout the day and also the honour to stay in the house. The loser get evicted on the spot and the next competitor goes in, and the circle begins again.

So thats the idea of the show, so how did I get to see it, well anyone can walk down to Jervis Street and walk in and look at “The Box” between 11-7. Unlike Big Brother you have no guard dogs or mega security, I actually only spotted two security guards, and was able to get close enough to get these shots at 18mm. Thanks to the guys for playing up to the camera!

This is possibly the sneakiest shot I have ever done. While waiting to cross the road I had the camera around my neck resting on my chest with one hand on the shutter button. I had no idea how the picture would look as I was not using the viewfinder but got an intresting shot all the same.

Ah sure if it aint a nice ole bit of art, a bit of graffiti on a bus stop near the ha’penny bridge.

I have been told I spend to long trying to find subjects to shoot and not on composition so I think this image is more comp the sub, correct me if I am wrong.

I have also entered this into the photofriday.com challenge which this week is “Destruction” as some graffiti can be considered art, this to me is a poor attempt and is just sheer vandalism.
