Bins in an Alley

Well the weather improved today so I got out and about in Dublin during my lunch hour. I have to say it amazing what you find down alleys. This photo was taken down School House Lane East off Kildare Street. Who owns all these bins is beyond me but there is a restaurant across the road called “one pico” so I reckon it must be them.

  • That is some SERIOUS purple! In the U.S., the different color cans denote different types of garbage and recyclables. For example, sky blue is usually paper and plastic, and green is for yard waste. What is purple? Baby toys? Neat shot.

  • Well Mike, in Ireland we also have something kinda similiar but what I do know about these purple bins is they are for general refuse and are collected by a private company called Greenstar. I only know this cause they do my home refuse collection and I have a big purple bin outside my back door, which makes landscaping and colour schemes for my garden difficult hehe.

  • well done on your nomination

  • and yet more excellent road repairs. you could have an exhibition on excellent road repairs!
