On my way into work this morning while sitting on the bus, you could see the closer I got to Dublin a fog descending on the city. It was only when I got off from the warmth of the bus I realised just how cold this fog was.

It also did some serious damage on the road up from Carlow which I have been on many many times. A tanker overturned in the tunnel at the end of the M7 and due to the fog cars did not see this until it was too late. In total around 40 cars were involved in collisions and 30 people were brought to Naas hospital.

For any international readers the Irish are atrocious when it comes to any other type of weather other then rain and the very occasional bit of sun, you wouldwant to see the drivers if there is a bit of snow!

  • I like the idea of the shot

Although the sharpest point in the image seems to be between the tree and the far bench. as the tree is underexposed and very contrasty there is not much detail in it.

It might of been better to change focus point so you foscus on the guy with the headphones.

You might try USM on him in photoshop to give him a bit of punch and maybe knock back the level of the tree

  • I like the sleeping duck. That’s what you intended right?

  • Nice shot. I was driving to Blanchardson that morning and it was even worse. I like the way the guy with headphones on has an expression like “Oi, what you photographing me for?”

  • I like the ambiance of the shot, with the fog and black and white conversion. However the left side of the picture contains a number of distractions. You might try to crop it out and see how it looks.
