So the general election in Ireland happens tomorrow morning at 7.30, and on Friday we will know which of these two will be running the country. We have Bertie Ahern (Fianna Fail) in the lower picture who has been Taoiseach for the past 10 years and the young wannabe Enda Kenny (Fine Gael) as the leader of the opposition.

Also Tomorrow marks the day that “Soupy Norman” airs on RTE 2 at 11.05. If you live in Ireland please watch it, it is only 10 mins long and let me know what you think as I did all the sound on this show and think after 17 years messing in sound its probably the most enjoyment I have had with sound recording over the years.

  • Very topical John. Very good. Although those posters look retouched – did you make Bertie and Enda More Glossy? and I’m surprised you could find any posters that don’t have rude scribbles all over them.

  • I basically fixed what the printers could not do, as I pointed out in my election poster rant, a bit more contrast etc, and more suprising to me was to find not only unscribled posters but finding the 2 opposition leaders on the same lamp post.

  • They’re talking about Soupy Norman on Today FM at the moment – sounds like an interesting concept. Good luck with it!

  • I watched Soupy Norman for the first time last night. I have to say, I almost wet myself laughing, it’s very, very well done and the dubbing and sound editing are excellent. Can’t wait for the next episode.
