as I work in the industry, having done some of the storehouse, I can tell you that the running costs of those things are massive

I am not saying that the price is cheap, far from it, i am not suggesting the price is even correct (as thats not my job) what i was trying to suggest was that the cost of these places is not as simple as it sounds.

for example deducting the price of a pint, which i belive is more than 4.50 in most pubs just say 5 to make the maths easy, leaving 9 euro

knowing that an investment of approx 20 million was used to setup the storehouse, you can imagine how many people paying 9 euro it takes to just payback the investment, before running costs

my point was, that i was trying to explain that people are tooo quick to say these places are expensive. I know for a fact that a huge number of these places struggle to even cover costs never mind make a profit. not that i am suggesting the storehouse is one of them

anyway sorry if it sounds like a rant dolly, just tying to show a little inside informed opinion about visitor centre

Steve, I’m sorry to say but I must agree with John. It *IS* expensive and the pint of Guinness doesn’t make up for it. Had a pint in the AIRPORT for €4,5 so my guess is a pint in a normal pub is even less.

Really liked the Storehouse! Especially the construction you got in the picture.

the storehouse is a 20 million euro visitor centre in the city where office space is one of the most expensive in the world.

add to that a pint costs what 5 – 6 euro, i think you are being a bit hard on them

but it is a stunning place and i guess you got plenty of great shots
