I cant understand peoples problems with Canons 18-55mm kit lens, ok its light, plastic and zoom wise not great but to get a shot like this again makes me believe even more that my decision has been a good un.

In relation to lenses I am thinking of getting a sigma 70-300mm lens, does anyone have any views on sigma? should I stick to Canon?

Anyhow this dude was climbing the curtains the other day and was found by a screaming Paula, she asked me to get rid of it, so I took out the camera and took some shots instead, and this one I feel turned out very nice

  • A very nice picture of the agelenidae tegenaria.

  • The Sigma 70-300mm lens is a great starter telephoto lens, I have used mine for over a year, a little slow to focus but a very good lens. I recently bought the Sigma 50-500mm as a replacement for it.

  • Well Darragh I Purchased the lens last friday and yes I have to say so far so good. I do think my tripod will be making more trips out with me though at this stage.
