I aint been serious here by the way, would you employ this guy to look after your kids?

This is just a bit of fun with layer masks and what not, I love messing with the images a bit in photoshop and process them a bit mad.

This shot was taken outside my back door and is my clothes line which has gotten itself all knotted up.

Well I am unsure if I like this shot did not get what I was hoping for, so why put it up online? Ill tell you why because the story behind it makes it worthwhile.

All this week I have been working till 8pm, which means I dont get off the bus till 10pm so very little time for taking pictures. So I decided once I got off the bus I would attempt a long exposure of the road and get a car or two passing by. My first attempt at F5.6 and 20 secs was overexposed so I went for F9 and 13 secs, when the exposure was happening a car pulled up beside me (which you can see in the right hand side of the picture) where I was crouched (a little electrical box you find on paths which I was using as my tripod).

The first thing to go through my head was ok Im about to be mugged or maybe just maybe its for directions, I thought at 10 pm mugging was more likely.

The shot finished and as I stood up the door opened and a male voice said “what are you doing there” I answered that I was taking a picture attempting to get the blurs of lights from cars. It was then I realised the people in the car were the gardai aka the Irish police in an unmarked Police car. The male officer then said that they were passing, obviously during my first attempt, turned around as they thought I was going to jump over a wall into a house, I said “god no, do you want to look at the pictures” he said “no no its ok” Imagine my disgust that he did not want to sample my art.

Well since people yesterday liked the colours in the picture I decided to turn some of the babies evil.

I have always wanted to try this technique but never felt I had the opportunity to do so.

Sorry for the delay but I am sick today, well more sick yesterday and last night, but starting to feel better now.

I dont have much to say about this picture only that yes they are jelly babies and yes they are all standing up marching towards the camera, why you ask, I have absolutely no idea!

I forgot I took this image when I got the camera, I think its a great candid shot. Park Attendant and Tourist with obligitory viking hat. Parkies facial expression is fantastic.

I must apologise to anyone who has been here this morning to find a technorati post up, but this is something that has been a bugbear of mine for many many months. The tags I enter never seemed to get recognised in the technorati search.

What I did not realise is that Technorati uses the Atom.xml feed also to find tags, so I have been recoding my atom to accomodate this and from what I can see it has worked, well for new entries my old entries and tags dont seem to work even after a reping.

Happy Saint Patricks Day one and all, have a drink on me.

Another shot I took yesterday of the Saint Patricks day fun fair at merrion square in Dublin. This shot show the big wheel that they have placed in the middle of the road been assembled.

When you see how quick they can put these things up is it any wonder you dont find me ever on them.

So tomorrow is Saint Patricks day and I plan on taking it handy, although that may change tomorrow morning and I may end up in Bray for our very own Parade. If I do rest assured I will post something up.

Well Saint Patrick is coming to town, and the streets are closing down. Outside the Dail (where are government reside) a funfair is been put together as I type this.

I went down and had the fortuate experience of seeing carnival rides half assembled, such as a big wheel, a merry go round and one of those rides that spins quickly while you stand up against the walls.

I thought this image really captured the moment as nothing was ready so obviously the fun fair is “closed”

On a side note I have made plenty of changes over the past 24 hours, which im sure are plain to see. One major alteration is now you can see 5 images on the main page, info for all shots as well as all the other stuff that has been there all along. I have also taken the dive in “Tagging” all my images with technorati, anyone with more information on how tagging works best please send me a link or something, also what plugins do people use with movabletype etc.
