Stephens Green Flower
Back to my favorite haunt Saint Stephens Green where the flower beds are nearly in full bloom. This is a shot of a lovely pinkish flower called, I dunno, any help would be great.

Great picture! My guess is: Tulip
McAWilliams says:
Hmm Tulip, I dont believe it is I have a feeling it is, I first thought it was some sort of geranium looking at it, although I did not get a good look at the leaves to validate that, It may also be a sort of peony rose but once again I am unsure.
I am hoping the Park keeper stops by here since I post so many pictures up of Stephens Green, he will have the answers.

Lovely! I think it is a Tulip – a multi petal’d one. Although without seeing the foliage, and from this angle, it’s hard to tell. Beautiful though.
McAWilliams says:
Ok, so thats 2 votes now for tulips I have a feeling there may be continuing pattern developing. Thanks for the comments girls.
Szlampy says:
Well, it’s not a sunflower that’s for sure… but I’m led to beleive it’s a gladioli.
Do you not have anohte picture perhaps?
ails says:
is it a wild rose
McAWilliams says:
Right I went back to the spot today and sure enough it is a tulip, I could not believe it as I had never seen such a flower.
Szlampy – I can see how you would think it was a gladioli but this is the one flower that was on the stem the others in the background are just more of the same.
Ails – Well I should have pointed out in my original post that this was taken at a heavily planted flower bed.
