<description>Right I went back to the spot today and sure enough it is a tulip, I could not believe it as I had never seen such a flower.

Szlampy - I can see how you would think it was a gladioli but this is the one flower that was on the stem the others in the background are just more of the same.

Ails - Well I should have pointed out in my original post that this was taken at a heavily planted flower bed.

		<description>Well, it&#039;s not a sunflower that&#039;s for sure... but I&#039;m led to beleive it&#039;s a gladioli.

Do you not have anohte picture perhaps?

<description>Lovely! I think it is a Tulip - a multi petal&#039;d one. Although without seeing the foliage, and from this angle, it&#039;s hard to tell. Beautiful though.

<description>Hmm Tulip, I dont believe it is I have a feeling it is, I first thought it was some sort of geranium looking at it, although I did not get a good look at the leaves to validate that, It may also be a sort of peony rose but once again I am unsure.

I am hoping the Park keeper stops by here since I post so many pictures up of Stephens Green, he will have the answers.
