I have done very little to this picture, this is how I shoot the smoke photos, and this is before the invert etc. I did nothing to this for this reason, when I saw the picture it reminded me of the female form, as in waist and hips kinda silhouetted against a black backdrop.
Amazing aint it I get the flash and dont try the ole smoke shots again, well tonight I decided to give it another go and mess with the curves a bit more. This one strangely looks like a racehorse to me, what do you think?
thanks for the comments yesterday got some ideas now to work with, but before I go and try them out, I had this mad idea to break the glass from that bulb and switch the light on!
Dangerous… yes, creative… possibly, worthwhile… for sure.
Yes this is something I very nearly wimped out of as I did not know what may happen, but in the end I got some smoke and that was it really.
Over the past 3 nights I have been stuggling to get this to work my first shot was to soft and undefined, my second shot got more definition but no consistant sharpness so todays effort is an accumulation of what I have learnt from both attempts and also the use of an external flash which has made a huge difference.
I promise this is my last one now for a while please do comment though on this shot at least, I think it looks like a human sitting down with their arm up and finger going towards the mouth. Yep I am tired and delusional.
Think I am starting to get something cool happening now maybe by tomorrow I will have this perfected.
Well this is another one of those images I really wanted to try once I had a SLR this is a candle been extingushed, brought into photoshop then inverted, and finally the hue was changed so it became something weird.
It aint as sharp as I was hoping for but I am very pleased with this first attempt.
