Along with the lens I bought the other day I also bought a polarizing filter and I was dieing to test it out. On Saturday I was in Cabinteely park and took a good load of sky pictures which I will post up over the next few days this one though has to be my favourite. Oh and by the way those black dots in the middle of the picture are birds and not dirt on my sensor.
My first picture to put up using the new lens I got on friday. This was taken down in Glendalough today as the sun was setting over the hills.
I told you I had a good day that day in Dun Laoghaire, here is one of some boats moored up in the harbour. Thanks to FJP for his advise of shooting into the sun.
On a different note I took the plunge and installed Movabletype 3.2, and it seems to be working very well. I did notice that one of the new features “spamlookup” (used to combat comment spam) was stopping regular posters here for moderation and for that I apologise, things should now be working much better. One thing that has stopped working for me is the ability to set up scheduled posting. This feature I found very usefull just in case I am away from the computer for a while and I am working on it to ensure the daily updates can continue.
Another photo from Dunlaoghaire, I will admit I have taken the exposure setting down for this photo and also desaturated it a bit. But I love the effect created. More to come
