Cresent Moon

Well I am so busy at work I can only take photos at home sometimes though you get the odd gem.

There are 2 images I really wanna take but both require darkness, and I mean really dark, no city lights etc and preferably scatterings of clouds. I want to take photos of 1. the stars in motion (taken while in bulb mode) and 2. a landscape using no flash or light only bulb mode.

Every time I have attempted this in Bray street lights kinda ruin the effect I am after. but I did try again tonight, and failed but lo and behold this cresent shaped moon was hiding behind a tree, so I photographed that instead.

Cherry blossom tree flowers

I love it when you end up being inspired to go and search for an image, and thats exactly what happened to me this evening while doing my daily bus journey from town to Bray.

I was sitting as usual upstairs on the 145 and was listening to Air’s album “talkie walkie” and what song came on but “cherry blossom girl” and hey presto I had the photo I wanted to take this evening.

I am fortunate enough to be living in a house that is over 25 years old and has a well established blossom tree in the back garden, it must be about 20 foot high, and over the weekend the buds well … blossomed, it seems in the 2 and a bit years we have been living here that its flowers come out later then others.

Don’t you just love photos like this, where trees start the regrowth process again.

No more to be said.

Dundrum Tree

This a shot I took cause I am not a good shopper. This image was taken outside Dundrum Shopping Center where you can go have a smoke if you hate shopping, or in my case have a smoke and take a photograph.

This building is huge, modern and the architecture is fantastic, and not only that they kept this tree, and made a feature of it, I have to say it does look well with all the new building around it.
