I apologise for no images at all this weekend untill now but I have had a hectic weekend and not once did the camera come out of the bag.
Away from smoke I am back at water this time dropping stuff into it. Here is a plum tomato been dropped from a height into a vase of water.
So day two of the magical tour of Dublin/Wicklow for my foreign friends. Today we went to Glendalough, a favourite haunt of mine. And I do believe the walk around the lakes and the monastic city went down well with my traveling companions. I took a heck of a lot of pictures but they all look the same as photos I have put up here before.
One place I had never brought the camera to was the Poulanass waterfall on the left hand side very close to the upper lake. I took some pictures there and then decided to try a 2 second exposure, I also brought the exposure compensation down so I would not to get to many highlights.
Stupidly I forgot to reset it and all images following are now underexposed, what a tool!
Anyhow this is a washed up pine cone found at the edge of the upper lake, but where did it originate from, since there are no trees anywhere close to where I was standing. So I will leave you with that thought, the mystery of the pine cone.
Well here is my second waterdrop that I captured the other night. This one shows more of the typical bell and crown that people strive for. I only wish to god I had checked my camera settings beforehand as I took this shot at iso 800 and probably could have got away with 200.
On another note I have installed something on my comments page to try to combat the 200 or so spam messages I get a day. In order to comment you will have to enter a word clearly marked on my comments page before commenting, I apologise for this but my server cant hack the spam no more.
I have am now also going to provide exif info on all pictures from now on, which I hope may be of help to some people.
This is another one of those must try images and once again I am suprised how it turned out. This was using the inbuilt flash which aint really the right way to go about things and even though I did capture some typical crowns and bells from the water drops this one appealed to me with the drop on top.

Wow metal is hard to shoot but with water running over it you get some cool effects. Here is some water running down the drain.
Well Ive hit another milestone this is my 200th entry to this blog I never thought it would be possible. Here is another shot from Glendalough showing off the Upper Lake and the vista that greets you.
Well I needed two of these after spending the weekend trying to get my monitor sorted, and today it is been dropped back to the guys I purchased it from. So hopefully I can get my images updating again frequently in a while.
I spent a lot of last night trying to find reciepts and also trying to get some photographs of fireworks since it was halloween, but I think the Irish government crackdown on fireworks been illegal meant halloween was a lot quieter then I have ever experienced. So I will have to wait till the new year!
