To be honest Roy, if it took over my garden I would be a very happy man, since at the moment the garden is in disarray with the builders been there. We have it in pots though so wont go to madly out of control although once the builders leave I may well put it in a flowerbed if it takes over a bit, they are fantastic plants.

That issue with IE occurs for me too - though i only use IE in work (1024 X 768 resolution). It happens on my own blog too. I put it down to being a win/IE prob.

Geraldine, to be honest these flowers are more sturdy then they look, although scent wise not much to report there. In a wedding bouquet they might have looked great although with all the colours I dunno.

Phil, yep starting time was taken from the facebook page, I will be leaving at 4 since I have a BBQ to get too, but sure three hours of tall ships will be ample.

Dolly, cant believe you are only geting to see my various poses now!!! In relation to IE6 I shall have to look into that more then likely I have an extra <div> tag or something might look into getting validation.

Great shot of the beautiful lily.

I know you want comments on the site as well to here goes:
1) I just cracked up laughing. Everytime I've come here the little camera man's been out. Today I saw some others. FANTASTIC! Thank you :)

2) I know you hate it, but I'm still on IE (v6.0) and the pictures most of the times end up waaaaaaaaay down showing a good set of just empty space under the header. Means I have to scroll down to see the picture. Reloading the page sometimes make the picture go up again. Not sure if it's just IE, but thought I'd let you know.

I love this shot - the colours of the lily (would a lily by any other name, smell?) are really delicate. I almost had a very similar flower in my wedding flowers but the Irish April weather made it a bit too risky :)

Wow Debbie you really know your stuff about plants, I think if you went through my archives I have probably named others incorrectly, but this has been a real learning curve for me.

Will this plant expands each year if you want me to divide one for you let me know although you should be able to get em in any good garden centre.

Oh dear oh dear (well it's late).

Yes it is from Peru - and other areas of South America, and you *should* be able to get it in most garden centres, though now you mention it I haven't seen it around much recently. I can keep an eye out for it if you like.

What I should have asked is...
"Is the Peruvian Lily actually from Peru?" (and where can I get some to grow in Ireland)
